Taking A Pets Website From 0 To 163K+ Visitors With SEO
– What's up guys. So 67% of U.S households has
85 million families have pets. So if you can rank a website
with SEO in this niche, then there's a lot of money to be made. In fact, I took one website in just a few months from zero to 1,500
visits per day using SEO. And that's exactly what I'm
gonna teach you in this video. So you'll discover my
exact three-step blueprint for ranking your pet's website with SEO, but make sure you stick around to them because part number three
is crucial for your site, and if you don't follow number three, then you probably won't

I consider if you enjoy it. So when it comes to ranking your site, there's three simple
steps you should follow. First of all, your keyword strategy then narrow your content, and after that start building links and that's exactly what I'm
gonna show you in this video. So, first of all, when
it comes to key words, what you need to do is make sure that you
find low competition, high volume keywords that actually have a high
click through rate on Google. And you need all three of those when it comes to keywords, you have to be very selective, which keywords you go for because when it comes
to ranking your site, you only wanna go after the keywords that you can realistically
rank your site for.
And to be honest, 90% of the key words that you find on your niche are gonna be too competitive, or they're not gonnas be
ideal for ranking for. And the other thing is, when it comes to finding
keywords for your site, you really wanna make sure that they have a high business value. So can you monetize that content? Can you make money from people
searching for that keyword? Or what problem can you solve? Because when it comes to
ranking content on your site, sure, you could go
after loads of keywords, but if you can't make money from them or if they have zero business
value, then there's no point. So that's why you have
to be very exclusive about the keywords that you go after. Now, one of the biggest
mistakes most people make when it comes to ranking their website is that they just write about anything.
And they have no real
keyword strategy in place. So they kind of guess right. I think people will be searching for this, or I like writing about
this particular topic, so I'll write a blog about it. But at the same time, that's not the best way to
tell your keyword strategy. And in fact, what we have to do is
really reverse engineer, what people are already searching for, and then find keywords that
are tailored around that. So what you can do is you
can go into ahrefs.com. You can go to their keywords Explorer, and then you can find the keywords that are relevant to your niche. And what you wanna do
is filter these down. Next up, and this is
stage two of the blueprint is to make sure you start
publishing your content, because if you don't have any content, you're not gonna rank on Google. So for this pet's website, I published 50 articles on the site. And the more content you have, the higher visibility is gonna be. And that means the more
traffic you're gonna get. But to be honest, 50 articles was enough for this.
I start getting 1500
visits per day from Google. And you know, your scores,
aren't gonna rank overnight. It takes a few months for
the momentum to start going. But once the snowball effect is in place, then you will seriously
start seeing the traffic coming through, especially when you're sticking
to your keyword strategy. Because now you've got 50 are scores that are polished around low competition, high volume keywords that have high click through rate. So when you put these
two elements in place, you can quickly start ranking your content and driving traffic to your site. Now, when it comes to your content, there's an easy way and
a hard way to do this because the thing is, you shouldn't just guess what you need to put in your content. When you're writing an
article for your site, you really need to have
a good structure in place in terms of what topics
you need to target, what keywords you should mention, how to optimize the on-page elements.
So what I recommend is using
a tool like surfer, SEO. And when you use Surfer SEO, this is an easy way of
analyzing your competitors. Seeing who's already ranking
for that particular keyword. And once you do that, it's very easy to figure out
how can you create content that spelling and your competitors. And when you do that, Google is gonna reward you, rank you higher because now you have some
very relevant content that's optimized for
that particular keyword. So what you can do is
going over to Surfer SEO, create a blog outline, and this will analyze the
top ranking competitors for your keyword and give you an article outline on exactly what you need
to include in your article to start ranking. Now, when it came to
creating content for my site, I didn't actually write it myself because I don't really have much time.
But what I will say is that when I was outsourcing the content, it wasn't very expensive at all. In fact, for 50 articles
I paid only $2,500, and it was around $50 per
2000 words for each article. So overall it was pretty cheap. It didn't cost me that much. It was very quick to outsource. And I published 50 articles without writing a single word myself. Now the final stage of the blueprint, and this is the most
important for your site. If you wanna start ranking
on Google, is backlinks because backlinks are one of the most important ranking factors and they basically signal
that your site is good. So if you don't know what a
link is already a backlink well, this is basically when you
click from one site to another, and it's just a clickable link that takes you from one
place to another site. Now, the thing is when
it comes to backlinks, these are like votes. So the more votes that
you have AKA backlinks and the higher quality
these backlinks are, the higher you're going to rank on Google, because these are seen
as signals of authority. And its basically of a
website's crediting your site to say, Hey, this person's content is good.
It's a good resource. You should check out. And therefore the more
back links you have to use the higher you're going to rank on Google. So Ahrefs actually did a study and they found the 91% of websites don't rank on Google. They get zero traffic. That means that content
is pretty much wasted when it comes to search
engine optimization. So the thing is, if you're going to try
and rank in your site, you need to get backlinks,
this is crucial. And if you don't get
back, when it's your site, then chances are, you're just gonna end up like 91% of the rest of the internet
that doesn't get any traffic. So how can you start
building links your site? The first thing I recommend
is checking out my link, building average playlist on YouTube. Cause this will teach you
loads of different ways to start building links to your
site that are working today. And these are tried, tested
and proven techniques. Now for this particular
site, this pet's website. I actually used the skyscraper technique. How does the skyscraper technique work? Basically I would look at my competitors.
See who'd already linked to them already, reach out to everyone who
linked to that competitor and say something like, Hey, I'm actually linked to Joe blocks. I'll come maybe waddling
link to me, to his content. I'd like to get linked to .
And it was pretty much it, I would send hundreds of cold emails asking for a back link to my site because the more people I contact is more bad things I would get. Now, what I would say is that
it's a time consuming process when it comes to link building, but at the same time, it's 100% worth it. And chances are, if it's
a difficult process, mostly embedded is unable
to build backlinks. And therefore this is
an opportunity for you. So I would definitely recommend
building links to your site. And if you don't do this, chances are, you're not going to rank. Now when it came to this site, most of the links I built well
with the skyscrapers in here, I didn't really use any
other link building process, but as you can see, as soon as I started
building links to this site, the traffic pretty much exploded, and 10 ex overnight so you can see how powerful Link is when it comes to ranking
your site on Google.
