Hello, and welcome to this series of videos on how to get quick wins out of Searchmetrics Essentials. Today, we're going to be looking at how to quickly understand how websites perform in organic search and we will be identifying a key competitor. As an example, we're going to be looking at the American retail brand Banana Republic. To understand the performance of a brand in organic search we quickly look at the visibility graph. The visibility represents how likely Banana Republic is going to be receiving traffic through organic search. The higher the score the more likely they will be receiving traffic. To quickly understand, who the competitors are for Banana Republic, we go to SEO Research / Competitors. In this overview, we can quickly identify who the competitors for Banana Republic really are. In this graph, the further to the right a bubble is, and each bubble represents a website, the more overlapping keywords this brand has with Banana Republic.
The higher up the bubble is the more traffic this competitor receives through the same keyword set – for example oldnavy.com ranks on approximately 18.000 keywords that Banana Republic also ranks on and receives about 106.000 visits per month.
