Atomweight World Grand Prix stands out. At ONE: Empower, Korean cult hero Seo Hee Ham will make her debut in the Circle against the division’s #1-ranked contender, Denice Zamboanga. Whoever gets their hand raised will take a huge step toward the
World Grand Prix Title and a chance to fight for the
undisputed World Championship. Zamboanga arrived in ONE as an undefeated prospect
with a ton of potential. It was not long before Zamboanga established herself as
one of the atomweight elite with an impressive
debut win against Jihin Radzuan. A few months later the biggest win of her career made her the top contender. Mei Yamaguchi is a two-time
ONE World Title challenger and was riding a four-bout win streak, but Zamboanga took her apart to
steal her spot in the rankings.
With Angela Lee out of action
due to her pregnancy, Zamboanga had to wait for
her shot at the World Title, but she did not want to sit on the sidelines. As soon as she had the opportunity
to compete again, she stepped back into action to cement her position on
top of the chasing pack. Zamboanga may be ranked at #1, but now, she has to get through the
World Grand Prix gauntlet to earn her shot at Angela Lee. Can she step closer to the World Champion? Or will Ham, the best atomweight
