Amazon SEO Teil 1: Einführung | Fairrank TV – Wissenswert
Amazon SEO: Today with the first part of the mini-series – the introduction to the topic – and therefore a warm welcome to Worth Knowing on FAIRRANK TV! Amazon SEO – why do I need it? This is probably what most shop operators think, who sell their products not only in their own online shop but also in
the world's largest online marketplace. And that brings us to the topic – WORLDWIDE. Amazon is certainly the largest online marketplace, or at least one of the largest online marketplaces in the world. Amazon thus offers an immense reach for manufacturers and sellers who
offer their products via this platform. In the meantime, Amazon is also increasingly mentioned as THE first point of contact when it comes to finding a specific product. Amazon is therefore also one of the largest product search engines. Amazon dominates online product searches with 33% of all searches. In comparison, Google currently accounts for
about 14% of search queries when it comes to products.
The product descriptions and, above all, the ratings for the buyers are at least as interesting as the range for the sellers. Since Amazon also marks reviews of verified buyers accordingly, the user can assume that it is not a fake review. Amazon also offers buyers all sorts of attractive options, such as Prime membership. Prime members get free premium shipping for around €40 a year, so that the goods are always delivered on the next working day, sometimes even on the same day in the evening. This is done by the so-called Fulfillment by Amazon. The goods are already in the Amazon warehouses and the shipping and returns are completely handled by Amazon. Of course, this in turn relieves the burden on the seller.
Due to the high attractiveness of the platform , the competition there is of course very high. Amazon has developed its own search algorithm to serve users' search queries. Basically, this works in a similar way to Google's search algorithm. 16 products are displayed on each results page on Amazon – of course, every
retailer wants their products to appear as high up as possible. This is where optimization – i.e. Amazon SEO – comes into play. You can find out what options there are and
what you should definitely consider in the other parts of the Amazon SEO mini-series.
