Shin Sia & Seo Eun-soo Moments at ‘The Witch: Part2.’ Press Conference [eng sub]

Hello, I'm Shin Sia and I play 'The Girl' in
'The Witch: Part 2. The Other One.' It's my first time
watching the movie's final edit. I'll do my best to answer
all your questions. I'm very excited to be here. Hello, I'm Seo Eun Soo and I play Cho Hyeon in
'The Witch: Part 2. The Other One.' It was a great pleasure to play the role. I have never been this passionate
playing a role since my debut. I feel thrilled to introduce you
to this new movie. I hope you enjoyed it.
Thank you. Since I am a big fan of the first
installment and Kim Da Mi herself, it was both my honor and
privilege to have played the role. I tried my best to come up with
my own version of 'The Girl' so that I can do the first movie justice. Playing someone with superpowers reminded
me of people I should be thankful for because I alone couldn't
make 'The Girl' do anything. A lot of people helped me bring life to
the character by reacting to what I did. So, by watching the movie,
I once again felt that her incredible abilities came from
the work of everyone here.

The one thing that I noticed
while I was acting…. was that people with absolute powers are
fearless and relatively rigid when moving. Although she has all
the incredible powers, I refrained from practicing
exaggerated body movements. Instead, I practiced acting
with my eyes and making very subtle movements to
deliver more impactful acting. 'The Girl' and Ja Yoon have not
fully developed their powers yet. The stronger ones are yet to come. There are stronger figures in the
story and in the movie itself. Cho Hyeon is a former soldier and
has a great set of combat skills. She is very charismatic and
never hesitates to do anything. She sometimes has no filter when she talks, so I paid a lot of attention in
bringing that part of her to life.

The most challenging part was
holding the gun. It was quite heavy. But I loved shooting it non-stop. When we were filming the
battle scene with Dogūs, I had to shoot my gun
for about 4 hours. I believe we used more than 6000
rounds of ammo, 6000 or 7000… I was dead tired, but that helped me
relieve a lot of stress. It was as if I went to a shooting range.
It really helped me wash away my stress. Other than that,
I had to roll on the ground with my gun, and at one point, I had come to
respect the real soldiers out there. Yes, those were my challenging moments. For the character Gu Ja Yoon
in the first installment, I found an actress who
could catch you off guard. So I found an actress that
matches Gu Ja Yoon's image in the front part of the movie rather
the later part of the movie.

For the second installment,
I looked for an actress who would make an
impactful first appearance. While I was looking for the right actress
to play the lead in the second installment, it was important for
me to find someone who resembles Ja Yoon but
has different qualities. Finding one with such qualities
was challenging, yet I found her. As you can see from the movie, I think the
two actresses execute different movements. How they move differs from each other,
so I kept that in mind while directing. If Ja Yoon moved softly and tenderly, I wanted 'The Girl'
to be rigid and intense. So, I guess it's where
the stiffness comes from. A lot of people worked hard
to make this movie, so I hope you
come to the theater and enjoy it.

Thank you. I think good movies
should be seen in theaters, and I believe The Witch is the kind
of movie that won't disappoint you. Thank you for taking the
time to attend this event. Please help us promote this film!
Thank you..
