Amazon SEO Teil 2: Erste Schritte zur Optimierung | Fairrank TV
Amazon SEO: Keyword finding and first steps – and with that, a warm welcome to Worth Knowing on FairrankTV. In the first part of this series, you already got to
know the advantages of Amazon as an online marketplace. In order to successfully sell your products on Amazon, you need a strategy. Everything stands and falls with the products that you want to offer on Amazon. At best, you have your own products and therefore products that are not yet sold on Amazon. In this case, you have the sovereignty over the product page. That means you can customize them however you like. It is different for products that are already offered by a retailer or manufacturer on Amazon. Here you can only attach yourself to this product as a further seller and take over the current product description as well as the pictures that are already available on the product page. Depending on whether you are selling your own products
or whether you are sticking with an existing product, it is advisable to pursue a different
strategy. With your own products, it is important to make the product
attractive enough so that it is displayed as high as possible in the search
– the so-called ranking optimization.
The keywords are the be-all and end-all here. These decide whether the product is included in the relevant
set for a search query or not. Because of this, you should always do thorough
keyword research. How do you get relevant keywords for your
product? For example through brainstorming. Write down all the keywords that you can think of about the product
. Then you can also take a look at the products of
the competition on Amazon. Which keywords are used in which places on
the product detail page. You can get more suggestions
by searching on Amazon. Enter a keyword in the search field and see what the autocomplete offers you. The related search terms, which are always at the beginning of a search results page, are also interesting. Once you have your keywords together, it is important to distribute them on the product detail page.
The following fields
are available for this. The title of the page, the attributes – the
so-called five bullet points, the description text, and in Seller Central the four fields
for general search terms. When integrating the keywords into the fields of
the general search terms, it is important to avoid unnecessary duplication. On the one hand, this does not bring any advantages on Amazon
and, on the other hand, you take up important space for other relevant search terms. In the content of the page, however, you can place
the keywords in several places, as far as it makes sense. This also makes sense since most keywords result from the descriptive product attributes. But always remember to write the texts for the
customers and not for the Amazon algorithm. If you liked this post, give our video a thumbs up and subscribe to our channel so you don't
